setting up expedition

with some other students in my graphics class with our tutor we spent around 3 hours setting up an expedition space out in the hall way of past years work, sorting out what would look best where and how to arrange them on the wall.

type project

last few weeks have been working on the type project, my main idea was looking at type anatomy and taking the words creating an image for them and putting the images together. really enjoyed working on this idea but its just dont all coming together. if i had more time i would take say 9 of these words and take a photo of them stick them together in a grid and have the name of the book underneath, i did a quick mock up of this using images of google just to see what the final out come could look like, i have also looked threw the book hand job allot and got loads of inspiration from that and will just create a type for the name of the book and then recreate some of the stuff from inside the book to promote the artists who are inside.

uni

i have now finished applying for uni and has all been sent of, i have applied to 5 unis that are brighton, LCC, trent, bristol and falmouth.
now i need to work on putting my portfolio together and getting ready to take to interviews. in addition to my portfolio im going to take my own sketch books and visual sketch book that i have been working on along side college work.

type project

for our new project we have to design some styles of font i have done some by hand that i will scan in at a later date, and loads of people took pics of sweets and such objects in the letters, last night i got loads of small army men and melted them together to create the alphabet.

this is my fav one of all the ones i have done, the letter B

i photographed them on a camo coat and also on a pure whit background and floor so i can easily cut it out and apply my own backgrounds.
